The rice from Haenam's reclaimed land is produced on spacious fields with low-pollution rates, on the Haenam peninsula. It is pure rice harvested from unpolluted farmland which absorbs particular organic substances from alluvial deposits. The rice raised on these mud flats here in the southernmost end of our country is greatly favored by Korean consumers. This is because of its good taste which is pleasing to the palate.
Our rice grown on reclaimed land is sold in packs of 20kg under the brand names 'Reclaimed Land Pure Rice,' Punggwangsuto, etc. It is whole marketed through agents in large cities throughout Korea, and through Nonghyop (the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation) chain stores within the Nam-gun area. |
